The book starts with an introductory chapter that introduces the evolution of satellite communication. It covers the orbital mechanics, the perturbation factors of the orbit and different orbit configuration. It deals with launching mechanism and satellite sub-systems that configure a complete satellite system. The book elaborates the link calculation to facilitate the design aspect. Satellite access mechanism is also discussed. Internet via satellite is also outlined for completeness.
