The present day industrial environment demands increased production, high efficiency, control of costs, quality control, etc. The production processes has become complex and the capital intensive. Outages in plants can hardly be tolerated. To meet such needs of industries the subject of Safety, Health and Environment has attained significant importance. Any neglect in this aspect can be very costly. The engineers are therefore expected to have first hand knowledge of this subject. Keeping this requirement in view an attempt has been made to present detailed information about safety, health and environment in this book.
